Public Rural Planning Session - Lousana

On behalf of Red Deer County we would like to thank everyone who recently participated in our recent agricultural/rural lands subdivision survey!  We greatly appreciate your input on this important subject which will be used guide the future development of agricultural land within the County.  

Next Steps

1. Analysis of Survey Results

Currently, all the data from the survey responses that have been received is being reviewed and is being analyzed.  The results from that analysis will be made available to the public in the County News and on the County’s website in early January 2020.

2. Public Rural Planning Sessions  

Beginning mid-January 2020 the County will host six public rural planning sessions throughout the County to present detailed results from the survey and to promote further discussion on the future development of agricultural land.  Dates and times are as follows:

3. MDP Review/Update

The information gathered from the survey results and the rural planning sessions will be used to help guide the County’s Municipal Development Plan (MDP) review which is scheduled to formally begin in the Spring of 2020.
