Administration is proposing amendments to the Land Use Bylaw that will reduce timelines, allow better document accessibility, and allow new uses in Red Deer County. An overview of these amendments is available online for review. The complete draft Land Use Bylaw 2022/26 and the proposed Land Use District Maps are also available.

First reading of the proposed Land Use Bylaw was given on September 6, 2022. A Public Hearing for the Bylaw is set for Tuesday, November 1 at 1:30 p.m. More information on Public Hearings can be found here.

Red Deer County will also be hosting an Open House on Wednesday, October 12 from 4:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. at Red Deer County Centre (38106 Range Road 275) to receive feedback on the proposed Land Use Bylaw. Staff will be on hand to answer any questions from residents and ratepayers.
