Red Deer County Council participates in a 10 year FCSS Multi-Municipal Agreement. For decades, Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) has been working as a provincial-municipal government initiative to enhance the social wellbeing of individuals, families and community in an effort to keep people resilient, well, and from falling into crisis.

Lifeline With Auto-Alert offers all the benefits of our Standard Lifeline Medical Alert Service – push the button for help at any time. For more information, contact Carol, FCSS, 403.749.3654.
Delburne Community Garden – Facebook: Delburne Garden of Eat’n. Community is welcome to visit the garden and see the fruits of our efforts. Some plots are open to the community to: Water Me, Weed me and Eat Me! For more information contact Linda, 403.304.4408 or Cheryl, 403.598.5549.
Community Herb Barrels – Three barrels containing a variety of herbs are placed on Delburne Main Street. Community is welcome to try everything from Greek Oregano to Curly Parsley, and Dill.

Hop on the Bus to Didsbury Museum, Heritage Park and the World of Honeybees – Tuesday, August 22, pick up time is 11:00 AM at the Elnora Drop-In, returning approx. 10:00 PM. Cost is $80, includes bus, morning museum tour and tea, Heritage Park entrance, and the two-hour Honeybee experience. For more information, please call Sheila, 403.773.3920.
Philips Lifeline – Lifeline Service allows you to summon assistance when you need it by pushing the Auto Alert Help button. The Auto Alert button provides an added level of protection by calling for help when it detects a fall. For more information, please call Sheila, 403.773.3920.
Dancing 101 – Country Pride Dance Club was established in 1991 for all Central Alberta communities to learn and promote country dance. Dance classes in Elnora start in October. If you are interested in joining the class, please contact Sheila, 403.773.3920.
Blood Donation – Canadian Blood Services is always looking for donations. There is a bus that will come and pick you up from Elnora and take you to Red Deer for your blood donation. Bus leaves at 11:00 AM and returns about 3:00 PM. For next blood donation date, please call Sheila, 403.773.3920.

Home Alone Course (ages 9-12+) – Saturday, September 23 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Penhold Multiplex, Subway Club Room. Cost is $50, register at http://app.bookking.ca/bkpenholdpub/. Course covers Street Smarts, People Safety, Routines, Family Rules, Safe Activities & Snacking, Online Safety, Fire Safety, and Basic First Aid.

Springbrook Archery Club – Summer hours are Thursday evenings from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Friday and Saturday programs resume in September. Club is available for private bookings and parties. Located downstairs through south entrance of Springbrook Multiplex. New archers welcome! Call Donna, 403.573.4451 for info.
Springbrook Community SkatePark Committee – Fundraising in full swing for the new park. Next meetings are September 6 and 20, at 7:00 PM, Springbrook Fire Hall.
Youth Programs – August activities are building bee houses on August 15 and Calgary Zoo field trip on August 22. Call Adrian for info. or to register or check out my Facebook page for more information (Adrian Pidhirney FCSS). Parent Link Centre runs programs Monday and Wednesday mornings and Thursday afternoons for children under 6 in Building 14. Call Lindsay, 403.505.2590 for details.
Springbrook Community Garden – Volunteers needed to help tend community plot. All produce goes to those in need! Call Adrian for more information. Youth Garden Program runs every Thursday from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM, meet at the garden, no cost for this program.
Yoga in the Garden – Beginner to intermediate yoga in a beautiful outdoor setting. $4 drop-in fee. Thursday evenings from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
