Have you ever thought about creating pollinator habitat ecobuffer, installing fencing manage a wetland, reducing run-off, or otherwise “greening” your property? Through the Green Acreages program Acreage Owners have potential access to funding to help make ideas like this, a reality.Green Acreages provides technical assistance to acreage landowners to complete their Green Acreages Guide and their Green Acreages Action Plan, and cost-shares on approved projects. Projects may be eligible for 60% of costs, up to $2,000. This year, anyone applying to the Green Acreages program will also be entered in a draw at the end of the year for additional funding for their project. Two project entries will be drawn. First prize will raise the maximum funding to $4,000, and second prize will raise the maximum funding to $3,000 for your project.
