Patrol Statistics - August 2018

In the month of August 2018 Red Deer County Patrol continued to facilitate safe vehicular movement on roadways, identifying 268 traffic infractions. Some of the more notable violations include:

  • 17 Unregistered Motor Vehicle
  • 153 Speeding
  • 2 Use of handheld device or cell phone
  • 3 Failure to wear seatbelt
  • 5 Failure to stop at stop sign
  • 2 Driving without licence
  • 3 Liquor related
  • 2 Crossing double solid line

There were a total of 7 violators stopped for driving at least 51 km/hr above the posted speed limit, one was in a construction zone.

The highest speed apprehended was driving 170 km/h in 80 zone (90 above the speed limit).
