Patrol Statistics - August 2018

In the month of August 2018, Red Deer County Patrol continued to facilitate safe vehicular movement on roadways, identifying 253 traffic infractions. Some of the more notable violations include:

1 Unregistered Motor Vehicle
111 Speeding
1 Use of handheld device/cell phone
2 Failing to wear seatbelt
2 Failing to stop at stop sign
3 Driving without licence
3 Liquor related
1 Crossing double solid line

There were a total of 2 violators stopped for driving at least 51 km/hr above the posted speed limit, including one while passing emergency vehicles.

The highest speed apprehended was a motorcycle driving 150 km/h in 80 zone (70 above the speed limit).
