On Tuesday night, September 25, 2018, access to Gaetz Avenue from northbound Highway 2 will be temporarily closed for approximately one month, weather dependent.Those wishing to exit northbound Highway 2 into Red Deer will be directed onto Gasoline Alley East, then to Spruce Street to 49 Avenue, and onto 19 Street. Alternatively, northbound motorists can use the 32 Street interchange.This closure is required to complete the grading and paving of the new alignment of Gaetz Avenue.A detour plan of the closure is available at Hwy2Gaetz.com.The Highway 2/Gaetz Avenue Interchange is scheduled to be complete in late fall 2018, weather permitting.
