Environmental Farm Planning FAQ #4

Environmental Farm Plan.jpg

Who Sees My Completed EFP?

I hear EFP is online now…so who all is going to see it?

ANSWER: Yes, you can (and really should) do your Environmental Farm Plan (EFP) on-line. It is much easier to do and to keep up-to-date when you choose that option.

Even though it’s online, you and your Environmental Farm Plan Technician are the only two people who will ever see your EFP.

You can share your EFP with whoever you want, that’s up to you. But Environmental Farm Plan Technicians must keep your EFP confidential, we cannot share it with anyone.

There are certain funding programs, like the Canadian Agricultural Partnership’s “Environmental Stewardship and Climate Change Program” that require a completed EFP. However, they will not be seeing your EFP. All they will need to see, is a copy of your Certificate, that states you have a completed EFP.

As far as we know, any current market-based programs that involve EFP, only require a copy of your Completion Certificate, they do not ask to see your EFP itself.

The EFP Website has all the normal security features that websites typically have today. It is a very secure system, password protected, and designed so that only you and your EFP Technician can access your EFP.

In short, your EFP is as private and secure as anything can be these days.
