Red Deer County continues to offer the “Report A Problem” tool on the County Website (www.rdcounty.ca). This tool enables County residents and businesses to report the location specific problems or concerns they are experiencing. The tool will notify the appropriate department of these concerns, and will allow staff to track, respond to, and monitor requests for action. This enhanced level of service continues to strengthen our response time and transparency. The online tool asks residents and businesses to fill in fields that provide information on problem/inquiry type, the problem location, a description of the problem and contact information.Concerns or Inquiries may be related to infrastructure, garbage, snow removal, pests, weeds, livestock, conservation, Council/Administration, permitting, Planning & Development, taxes, Assessment, addressing, billing, utilities, community programs, or County Patrol.According to County Manager Curtis Herzberg, “The advantage of this system over an email is that it provides residents with a tracking number that can be used to reference the specific item in future communications. This way both residents and staff know exactly what issue they are dealing with, and can discuss any progress being made.”Red Deer County reminds ratepayers to continue to Dial 911 for medical and fire emergency. Call 403.350.2150 for urgent issues like flooding or missing stop signs. The Report A Problem system is meant for location-specific issues. For general inquiries that are not location-specific, contact email@example.com.
