Volunteer Board Governance Workshop – Saturday, April 14 from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. This workshop will help volunteer board members to enhance their skills and work effectively as a team member. Held in partnership with Alberta Culture and Tourism Board Development Program and FCSS. $10 fee to cover lunch. Pre-register by calling Carol, 403.749.3654.
Delburne Volunteer Appreciation – Tuesday, April 17 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Guest speaker Tom Higgins will present on leadership. Tickets available at Village Office.
Volunteer Income Tax Program for Low Income Residents – Eligibility requirements are single with under $30,000 income, couple with under $40,000 income, adult with one child under $35,000 income, and each additional child $2,500 additional income. Seniors or community members who meet this criteria may be eligible for a volunteer to complete their tax return at no fee.
Cooking with Seniors 55+ hosting cooking sessions at Community Hall on Tuesdays, April 10 and 24 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Cost is $5 per prepared meal. Everyone is welcome. Please confirm attendance a couple days before cooking session. Contact Donna at 403.749.2100 or Kathy at 403.749.2100.
Community Garden set to start up for the season with clean up taking place on Saturday, May 26 and planting day for Saturday, June 23.

Elnora Play School - Wednesday’s and alternating Mondays and Fridays from 8:30 AM – 11:30 AM at the Elnora School in the Kindergarten room. Sarah Hogg is our new teacher. Elnora Youth Center - Is your child, youth or teen looking for some great after school activities? The Elnora Youth Center has received an additional 3 years of funding which goes into 2020 so our youth have a wonderful opportunity close to home. SEEDS – Sharing, Educating, Exploring, Discovering and Singing for preschoolers ages 0 to 5 years. Friday, April 6, 13 and 27 at Elnora Hall from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM. Great time for your little one to socialize and have some fun.
Gab Session – Thursday, May 3 at Elnora Community Hall starting at 12:00 NOON. Excellent time to find out what is going on in Elnora and surrounding area.
Little Free Libraries - Elnora has 3 little libraries and all are full of books for all ages. This been a huge success.

Babysitter’s Course – Saturday, April 7 from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM at Penhold Multiplex in the Subway Club Room. Cost is $50. Register today at
Penhold Volunteer Appreciation Event – Thursday, April 12 at Memorial Hall from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Join us in celebrating all those who volunteer in our community and make it a wonderful place to live. Catered meal and magician.

Springbrook Archery Club –Winter hours in effect, Thursdays 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM, Fridays 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Club available for private bookings and parties. Inquire about spring 3d leagues in May and June. Located downstairs through south entrance of Springbrook Multiplex. Call Donna at 403.573.4451 for information.
Springbrook Community Skatepark Committee (SC2) – Corporate Sponsorship Packages now available. SC2 now has permanent bottle donation bin on skatepark land behind Springbrook Multiplex, All money raised goes to skatepark construction. Next meetings scheduled for April 4 and May 2, at 7:00 PM, Springbrook Fire Hall. Everyone welcome!
Springbrook Community Garden – Now accepting registrations for 2018 growing season. Raised garden beds for those with mobility issues are now available. Contact Adrian for more information or to register.
Spring Sports Program – Looking for volunteers to help coach a fun youth sports program for ages 2 to 14. Knowledge of soccer and baseball / t-ball an asset but not required. 6 to 8 week commitment in May and June. Registrations at Springbrook Multiplex, April 3 and 17, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM and April 10 and 26 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Soccer is Tuesday evenings from May 15 to June 19 and ball is from May 17 to June 21.
Great Neighbours – Block Connector Training is April 5 at Springbrook Fire Hall, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Dinner provided.

Spruce View and Community Care – If someone is sick, has just had a baby, is going through grief, or any number of things, we often want to help but don’t know how. One very practical way is to provide a meal which will leave just one less thing to think about.
