Watch The Video of the new and improved Bowden Community Hall & Delburne Agri-Plex Arena!Red Deer County Community Services promotes healthy communities by supporting the development and sustainability of facilities, projects, and programs that benefit our residents. A new community hall has been constructed in the Town of Bowden, with Red Deer County’s support. Owned and operated by the Bowden Cultural Enhancement Society, this 11,000 square foot facility is located at the north end of town, with easy access from Highway 2 and Highway 587. The new hall can accommodate approximately 350 people for banquets, and has a seating capacity for approximately 500 people. This banquet hall can also divide into multiple meeting areas. The new commercial kitchen in the facility allows for more flexibility in rentals for larger events, and will be available for rent to local producers. This hall will be a focal point in the community for next 30 to 40 years, and The Society hopes to create a local weekly Farmers Market at the site. Red Deer County Council approved $800,000 in total funding for the Bowden Community Hall project. The Village of Delburne recently renovated and expanded their Agri-plex Arena, adding 5,760 square feet, with Red Deer County’s support. Upgrades to the facility include 4 new very large dressing rooms, 2 bathrooms with showers, a new zamboni room and mechanical room, and livestock wash racks. The Delburne Agri-plex Arena is operational year round, and houses adult and youth hockey, figure skating, 4-H programs, and summer rodeo and arena riding. Red Deer County Council approved $1,347,000 in total funding for this Delburne Agri-plex project.
