PUBLIC HEARINGS:TUESDAY , February 20, 2018 at 1:30 PM• Bylaw No. 2017/29 to amend the Land Use Bylaw No. 2006/6 to add definitions and general regulations related to Solar Energy Devices and Solar Energy Facilities (Section 66b).• Bylaw No. 2017/30 to amend Bylaw No. 12/96, the Central Park Area Structure Plan. The purpose of this amendment is to recognize any changes that have occurred within the development area, to update the ASP policies to ensure alignment with other statutory documents and to amend all mapping in recognition of the existing land uses and the lands annexed by the City since the adoption of the original plan• Bylaw No. 2017/31 to amend Part 13 of the Land Use Bylaw No. 2006/6 to remove the Residential Conservation District (R-2) and create a new Estate Residential District (R-2), a district that envisions residential development with slightly larger lots than the typical lot size within hamlets and slightly smaller than typical acreage sizes• Bylaw No. 2017/32 to amend the Land Use Bylaw No. 2006/6 by adding a Live-Work Rural Residential District (R-1M), a district that provides for the development of an entrepreneurial, “live work” residential style of development (Part 12a).• Bylaw No. 2017/33 to amend Section 8.3.1 of Bylaw No. 2017/19, the Spruce View Major Area Structure Plan, in order to ensure consistency with the Land Use Bylaw and the newly proposed Live-Work Rural Residential District.• Bylaw No. 2017/34 to amend Section 8.2.1 of Bylaw No. 2016/10, the Gasoline Alley West Major Area Structure Plan, to allow for flexibility when determining parcel sizes for estate residential developments and to ensure consistency with the Land Use Bylaw; and to amend Figure 12 – Land Use Concept by amending the designation for Lot 14, Block 9, Plan 122-5165 from Mixed Residential/Commercial to Commercial.TUESDAY , March 6, 2018, at 1:30 PM• Bylaw No. 2018/1 to amend Map 1, Future Land Uses and Policy Areas, of Bylaw No. 2009/15, the Red Deer County and Town of Bowden Intermunicipal Development Plan, to show lands located in SE 26-34-1-5 and Lot A, Plan 2878JK as a Commercial Land Use.• Bylaw No. 2018/3 to adopt the North Bowden Industrial/Commercial Area Structure Plan for Pt SE 26-34-1-5 and Lot A, Plan 2878JK to allow for the future development of a mix of commercial and industrial land uses within these lands.The hearings will be informal and persons wishing to speak will be requested to state their name and address for the record upon being recognized by the Chair.If you prefer to submit comments on the bylaws in writing, the information you provide may be made public, subject to the provisions of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.A copy of the proposed bylaws, the Land Use Bylaw and the proposed ASP are available on the County’s website www.rdcounty.ca or by visiting the County office during regular office hours, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
