The Red Deer County Business Licensing Bylaw came into effect January 1, 2018. All businesses operating within the County, unless otherwise exempt from the bylaw, are required to apply for a license. Applying for a business license is a great way to make connections and is an inexpensive marketing tool, where the business is included on the County’s online Business Directory.Business License Fees:• Resident Business $60• Non-Resident Business $120• Home Based Business $25• Agriculture Producer (voluntary) $60Benefits:• A business License is a good investment, as having a License demonstrates to customers that the business is legitimate and complies with local bylaws and regulations.• A one-time only charge to register; the license is issued as a perpetual license and, under most circumstances, will not expire.• Business Directory: The online business directory is proving to be a great way for members of the public and fellow business owners to search for products or services within the County• The program is a valuable tool for collecting comprehensive and current data on local businesses operating in our community which can help the Economic Development team identify opportunities to support local business growth and facilitate expansion.• Helps the County better understand our business community and to help identify the needs of business leaders and where/when they need support.• Enables the County to form relationships with our businesses that lead to additional prosperity, and to help
