Red Deer County Council participates in a 10 year FCSS Multi-Municipal Agreement. For decades, Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) has been working as a provincial-municipal government initiative to enhance the social wellbeing of individuals, families and community in an effort to keep people resilient, well, and from falling into crisis.

Cooking with Seniors in Delburne - every Tuesday afternoon from 1PM to 4PM at the Community Hall.Participation fees are $5 each per week. An opportunity to make food to take home and to socialize. To register contact Donna, 403.749.2100 or Kathy at 403.749.2590.

Playgroup – Wednesdays at Penhold Memorial Hall from 9AM to 11:15AM. $2 drop-in, $1 every additional child, babies are free. Program for ages 0-5. It is a safe, fun environment for your child to learn socialization through play. Schedule: Nov. 1, 15, 22, 29, Dec. 6, 13, 20.
Charity Check Stop – Saturday, November 4 from 10AM to 2PM. Funds raised go towards our Fee Assistance programs and the Christmas Services that service Penhold.
Paint Nite Fundraiser for Penhold Youth Club – Friday, November 17, from 7PM. Event will take place at Memorial Hall.

National Child Day Celebration – Monday, November 20 from 5PM to 7PM at Memorial Hall. Fun and activities around this year’s theme, “the Right to be Safe”.
Community Christmas - Friday, November 24 from 6PM to 8PM at the Penhold Multiplex. Pictures with Santa in the Library, Christmas Market and Cookie Walk in the gym, Silent Auction, face painting, lighting of the Christmas tree, collection of donations for Food Bank, sleigh rides (weather permitting), free skate in the arena, scavenger hunt, cookie decorating, and much more!

SPRINGBROOK FCSS

Springbrook Archery Club – Fall hours began in September, Thursdays from 6:30PM to 8:30PM, Fridays from 7PM to 9PM, and Saturdays from 10AM to 1PM. Club is available for private bookings and parties. Located downstairs through south entrance of Springbrook Multiplex. New archers welcome! Call Donna, 403.573.4451 for info.
Springbrook Community Skate Park Committee – Fundraising in full swing for the new park. Next meetings are November 15 and December 6 at 7PM, Springbrook Fire Hall.
