GASOLINE ALLEY OFFSITE LEVY OPEN HOUSE

This session is to provide information to potential developers and land owners about the Gasoline Alley Offsite Levy Bylaw. The bylaw relates to what changes will be applied to future developments and subdivisions to fund County constructed municipal infrastructure.

ANIMAL CONTROL BYLAW OPEN HOUSE

This open house is to provide the opportunity for public input on an Animal Control Bylaw. Red Deer County is proposing to develop an Animal Control Bylaw that will regulate the type and number of animals throughout the County. This open house is in relation to allowing urban chickens, regulating the maximum number of dogs, and prohibiting other animal types within the urban districts of Red Deer County. The proposed Animal Control Bylaw will address keeping of livestock on parcels of 2 – 3 acres in size in Country Residential (R-1) and Residential Low Density (R-3) zoned districts (Ardley). In addition, Red Deer County is requesting public feedback with respect to limiting the maximum number of dogs within a proposed Animal Control Bylaw.

Red Deer County is proposing to develop an Animal Control Bylaw that will regulate the type and number of animals. This open house is in relation to allowing urban chickens, regulating the maximum number of dogs, and prohibiting other animal types within the urban districts of Red Deer County being Country Residential District (R1), Residential Conservation District (R-2), Low Density District (R-3),and Manufactured Home Park District (R8), including DCD #4, (Springbrook), and DCD #7 (Benalto) zoned districts.

SOLAR ENERGY LAND USE BYLAW 2006/6 AMENDMENT OPEN HOUSE

This session is to provide information to potential developers and land owners in regard to the proposed amendment to the Red Deer County Land Use Bylaw for solar energy. The proposed bylaw amendment will provide a definition and general regulations as it relates to solar energy for future developments within Red Deer County.

LAND USE BYLAW OPEN HOUSE

The County invites you to an open house to review and provide comments on a variety of proposed new land use bylaw districts in support of a number of recently approved Area Structure Plans. Each of the proposed districts include permitted and discretionary uses as well a variety of associated land use regulations.

Commercial Core District - The intent of the Commercial Core District is to allow for the development of a vibrant urban core area (i.e. downtown) within the center of Gasoline Alley West.

Estate Residential District - The intent of the Estate Residential District is to allow for the development of larger sized residential parcels in accordance with statutory plans that identify this form of development.

Live-Work Rural Residential - The intent of the Live-Work Rural Residential District is allow for the development of rural residential neighbourhoods that include a small business component in accordance with statutory plans where this form of land use is considered.
