Open House: Animal Control Bylaw

Wednesday, November 22, 2017

ANIMAL CONTROL BYLAW OPEN HOUSE
Wednesday, November 22, 2017
4:00 PM to 6:30 PM
Red Deer County Centre

This open house is to provide the opportunity for public input on an Animal Control Bylaw. Red Deer County is proposing to develop an Animal Control Bylaw that will regulate the type and number of animals throughout the County. This open house is in relation to allowing urban chickens, regulating the maximum number of dogs, and prohibiting other animal types within the urban districts of Red Deer County. The proposed Animal Control Bylaw will address keeping of livestock on parcels of 2 – 3 acres in size in Country Residential (R-1) and Residential Low Density (R-3) zoned districts (Ardley). In addition, Red Deer County is requesting public feedback with respect to limiting the maximum number of dogs within a proposed Animal Control Bylaw.
